Meet Artem

The Murmansk trip planned next year, has reached another level. I have been so lucky to have gotten in touch with Artem from Murmansk. He has promised me to introduce me to Murmansk points of interest, to bars, Russian cuisine, and Russian Vodka!

I work as a senior scientist at the Academy of Humanities studies. I am also a journalist in the journal “Philosophical Sciences” and a volunteer. I like to communicate with new people and learn about culture and life in other countries. – Artem

I am super excited to meet Artem, and to learn first-hand about the Russian culture and heritage. One of the things that I have learned from my previous travels is that where news, and social media, tend to polarize and divide, meeting people and talking to each other, unite. We have a lot more in common than not. Regardless of race and ethnicity.

So instead of riding through Murmansk, seeing what I see, from a distance, I now get the privilege to get much closer. How awesome is that? As Tim Cahill said, “A journey is best measured in friends, rather than miles.”
